Wire forms are technical wire parts shaped beyond classic helical spring geometries, used for transmitting force, fastening, connecting, holding, guiding and locking. Maktel produces wire forms from 0.20 to 9.00 mm wire diameter for automotive, defence, appliance, electrical-electronic, machinery and general industrial applications.
Product range
We produce 2D wire-formed parts and complex 3D wire geometries from customer drawings or samples: hooks, clips, rings, retaining and holding elements, spring-loaded connectors, latches and locking elements, and custom multi-bend forms. CNC-controlled wire forming covers prototypes, low-volume custom runs and high-volume series production.
Design and engineering support
We evaluate wire diameter, bend radii and sequence, angle tolerances, arm lengths, connection points, elastic working zones, installation direction, force requirement, cycle life and working environment together, providing engineering support on material, geometry, tolerances and manufacturability.
Material and surface treatments
We use EN 10270-1 DH class patented wire, EN 10270-2 Cr-Si high-tensile wire, oil-tempered wire, high-tensile stainless spring wire, low/high-carbon steel wire and application-specific alloyed materials. Stress relieving, shot peening, Cr+3 zinc plating, black oxide, nickel plating, cataphoretic coating and passivation can be applied.
Production and quality control
After CNC wire forming, heat treatment and surface finishing are applied as required; dimensional measurements, angle and form checks and critical assembly dimensions are verified. Approved products are packed and prepared for shipment in line with traceability requirements.
